M.U’s quest is to provide short term financial aid and other assistance to persons in dire need after the sudden loss of employment. Sometimes life doesn’t work as planned. Imagine one day out of the blue, you are given the blue slip – termination of employment…
– and the savings which we are all “supposed” to have, are non-existent. To add salt to the wound, you have no family or friends in Australia to help you with the most basic of needs!
…and all of a sudden you find yourself alone, afraid, depressed and terrified each time the phone rings.
You do not have to struggle alone! M.U provides financial aid and other assistance to people residing in Australia who are not permanent residents and are ineligible for Centrelink benefits. This project understands the struggles that these immigrants face. It’s the silent struggle that is rarely talked about it.
